MARKET REVIEW | MUSTACHE ACCESSORIES
Maybe I’ve been living under a rock for the past 19 years but up until this point, I was under the impression that mustaches were definitely not cool. Unless found on the upper lip of Robert Downey Jr. or Brad Pitt (and even that is pushing it), mustaches are not stylish in any way, shape or form.
Or so I thought.
I don’t know how this “mustache movement” started but I’m not so sure I want it to stop. Mustaches, whether they are on bags, rings, necklaces or glasses, are the perfect accessories for that casual summer outfit. Simpler than owls (the most recent jewelry trend), mustaches give your wardrobe a quirky flair without being too bold. (If you don’t know what I mean, buy a mustache accessory that is decked out with rhinestones and you will actually be able to watch your friend count decrease in real time.) Mustaches translate the versatile aspect of the classic “little black dress” into jewelry form to create a fashion trend that works for everyone.
And if that’s not convincing enough, just think about how much effort you will be saving. Hipsters, why waste 4 precious weeks trying to grow a coat for your upper lip when you can just go out and buy one? (Or even just draw one on. Use a sharpie. No one will ever know.) There are even lense-less glasses (we all know how much you love those) that have mustaches attached so you have everything you need all in one place!
It’s hip, it’s cheap, it’s cool and it goes with everything? I mustache you, what more could you ask for in a fashion accessory?
