Superbowl XLIX was a sea of bright green and navy with legions of Seahawks fans greatly outnumbering those of us in Phoenix from New England. I hate that shade of green and only like to see navy paired with red and white, like our country’s flag and as worn by Patriot Nation. Game day fan style tends to be kitschy, sporting your teams colors in inventive ways that pay homage and add some whimsical fun. Many Pats fans donned “statement” T-shirts that took the air out of the ridiculous accusations leveled at us by, what felt like, the rest of the country. Superstition always plays a big role as well, with fans wearing their lucky shirt or hat in just a certain way so as not to tempt fate. In a sea of team jerseys and logo’d apparel, nothing could deflate how these super bowl fans expressed their love of team via their unique game day looks…here a few who caught my eye.
Hats off to this Pats fan! He made cuffed seersucker shorts and his old glory themed socks look masculine. You got a problem with that?
No contest here – Michelle’s red and blue mani hands down beats the competition and that gorgeous engagement ring is like a Gronk spiked ball in the endzone. Game over!
As in tight end Tim Wright – love how her custom jersey combines family love with Pats pride.
This pretty hawks fan was rooting for the wrong team but doing it with a highly accessorized punky edge which included her blue and green ombre lip and fun wig.
Cutest couple alert! Love how these fans made onesies look so cool, that’s right folks…onesies! Pats thing 1 & thing 2 know it’s fun to have fun you just have to know how.
Sassy done right – these two Boston beauties were the epitome of feminine fan fashion fun. Root like a girl & god bless America!
Duct tape overlayed on jeans, made into a tie, and a pocket square- this Seahawks fan brought a look that was cheeky gentleman. Loved his look and his energy, too bad about his choice of team.
