There is something for everyone at Tremblant, Quebec’s most upscale mountain resort destination. The skiing and riding is superb, but what really makes Tremblant worth the trip is the charm of the pedestrian village, the après scene, and the myriad of activities available to those who don’t get their thrills on the hill. Join the worship of everything maple syrup, go shopping, get your spa on, experience dog sledding, ice skate under the stars, and enjoy the diverse cuisine. Tremblant is a great choice for couples, families, and singles looking to mingle. Teeming with Brits and Europeans, there is always “a party on the patio” regardless of what the temperature is.
I love the French chic that is evident everywhere you look in Tremblant. Here skiers and riders step it up a notch, maybe several notches actually, with what they wear both on and off the mountain. Paging Dr. Zahivago: Real fur is the big story at Tremblant and the fashion forward are mixing it up a by wearing furs of different origins at the same time. Not your ‘80’s neons, yellow, pinks, and graphic prints stood out boldly against the snow and metallic touches were everywhere. The hottest accessory is the knit hat with an oversized pom pom, with spikey fox or raccoon fur poms being the most sought after. Tremblant boutiques cannot keep these hats in stock right now and remember fashion fans, the bigger and higher your pom pom, the closer to god.
PINK LADIES
Pink, the most unabashedly feminine color, is fresh and flirty with fur collars paired with silver ski pants. This prominent look was a popular choice out on Tremblant’s slopes. Here are my two favorites:
[ezcol_1half]This young snow siren is wearing a Skea jacket in highlighter pink with Finnish raccoon collar and silver foil trim, which perfectly matches her Skea silver foil cargo pant. She looks ready to rip and break hearts, if you can catch her![/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]
The epitome of ski glamour, this lovely lady from Long Island had me mesmerized with her rose pink jacket and dyed spiky fox collar by Vist, an exclusive Italian line. Done with a subtle metallic sheen, I couldn’t take my eyes off the way her fur collar danced in the wind. Her perfect pewter hued pants are by Bogner.[/ezcol_1half_end]
GO-GO GRAPHICS
Go bold or go softer, but go graphic for an energized approach to winter wear. Taking their cue from current fashion trends, here are two ladies that got it right.
[ezcol_1half]Achtung baby! This yellow is anything but mellow. While the language barrier kept me from learning who made this outfit, this Fraulein from Munich got it right by keeping the yellow all the same exact shade.[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]
Floral print on black gets me every time and Brittany from Long Island rocked the prettiest interpretation of this trend by bringing it to the mountain. Pants from Zumiex, jacket by Roxy, helmet and goggles by Scott and her board is from Burton.[/ezcol_1half_end]
POETRY IN MOTION

Ukrainian lovely Daria lives in Manhattan, but she hasn’t lost that sexy accent or any European alpine glamour. Here she is giving us elegance and technical performance, call her a “bunny” if you want but this girl skis fast with a very pretty flow. Love that combo! Also loved how her look completely changed when she takes her fox fur hood down and rocks her pom pom. Daria is wearing Sporthalm’s “Glamtech” jacket in the perfect shade of greige with pearlized leather trim and crystal rhinestones. Her warm and super flattering LBPs (little black pants) are from Kjus.
[ezcol_1half]MOUNTAIN BOARDER MANI saw many a Canadian male wearing variations of the big fur mitten, and they all had their story, but Kyle from the northern Ontario town of Atikokan was wearing the most amazing pair! Turns out not only can he shred it up on his snowboard, he can hunt and trap like a boss and uses all parts of the animal to help feed his family and stay warm. Kyle designed and made these ultra warm mittens using bear for the outer layer, grey wolf for the cuff, and soft moose skin for the palm.[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]APRÈS PERFECTION
When the lifts close and the après action starts, it’s game time ladies! Peel off the layers of performance wear and slip into something more comfortable and athletic sexy, like Canadian born beauty Sonia Garufi. The proprietress of the ultra yummy Sophia’s Grotto in Roslindale, is a model and all round hot momma. Sonia nails après done right and she looks relaxed and sophisticated at the same time. Love how she mixed the high and low, faux and real fur and kept it simple and sleek. Her fabulous faux fur hat and rabbit scarf are from the Canadian retailer Danier. Cashmere sweater from Lord & Taylor, pants Calvin Klein, and boots from L.L. Bean.[/ezcol_1half_end]
