Cast from actual wood splinters taken from Rivington Street Synagogue in the early 1900s, and handcrafted in NYC, they boast a sharp and angular design. Clearly, they evoke the current, inescapable obsession with studs (can anyone say Burberry et Balmain?), but I love them for managing to do so in a deliciously naturalistic way, and for taking their cue from a history older than a washed up 80s punk band.
