STYLE + EVAN RACHEL WOOD & GUCCI

I’m loving the new Gucci advertisement. The promo spot for tv was done by Frank Miller. What do you think of the Noir vibe? From the source: “Riccardo Ruini created the film, from Rome based agency REM. The full-length 60-second film is being shown exclusively at the MTV music awards. As Frida Gianinni, Gucci’s Creative Director, explains: “I knew we needed something special for this project, something absolutely unique, the look, the sound, the performers – I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved.”

In the film, which was shot at Cinecitta’ Studios in Rome, the legendary home of Italian cinema, Wood blazes through the urban night in an exquisite 1953 Jaguar C-Type, formerly owned by the Italian driver Tadini. Miller was delighted to have this iconic, hand-crafted creation at his disposal: “I am a real fan of old cars and this vintage Jaguar is an absolute beauty”. The plot unfolds to the strains of Depeche Mode’s ‘Strangelove’, given a haunting new rendition by London-based band Friendly Fires.

Wood plays the role opposite leading man Chris Evans with a bewitching, vivacious presence that evokes the seductive power of the fragrance.” Click the picture below to see a promo for the mini-film. xo heather
