Gareth Pugh’s just opened up shop in Hong Kong! And it’s a window-less idea factory, painted in black rubber paint. Why? “Because it was my first store, I knew I had to do something that was very me,” Pugh told WWD. “I went back to my runway shows and thought, ‘what could be more me than a black box?’” Exactly. From VogueUK:
The 658 square-foot premises sits on Ice House Street, alongside fellow avant-garde fashion houses Comme des Garcons and Ann Demeulemeester.
“I like that there is Margiela just up the street, Gucci round the corner and Hermès across the road,” he said “It creates a sense of luxury around the brand and what I do that may not be so apparent in other cities, such as London.”
