Come the time of  suffocating Boston summer heat,  I often find myself daydreaming of trips to high elevation mountain ranges and swims under lush waterfalls.  Having neither the time nor the money for such an escape, I naturally default to a little retail therapy.

This beautiful silk dress speaks to me on many levels, but most profound is its ability to suck me into such an evocative print.  It’s a magic carpet ride of sorts, this print, and there’s little better than to be able to glance down and feel lost in a rendition of terra firma redolent with memories of hikes through red canyons. Memories, mind you, of things that never actually occurred.
